This log cabin would be considered my first real project beyond various tree houses. At the age of eleven, with a vision to be just like my dad, this became my dream while paying little attention to my school teacher. My father helped me start the floor and the first three courses of logs. From that point on, it was up to me to finish. This cabin still stands today and is the foundation of my profession. I began working with my father at a young age excavating, doing deliveries, logging, working in a sawmill with my older brother, and building anything from additions to cabins to small homes. I worked in an art studio from 1983 – 1984, doing construction on the side. In 1984 I went off on my own, designing and building a unique two-story, octagonal cabin. After that, I moved on to commercial jobs in New Jersey and New York, then expanded into home building in Pennsylvania, New York, and Canada.
